IEEE AKSC 2022

    CIT sponsored and participated for an event organized by IEEE/AKSC on October 29th, 2022. CIT had a session with over 350 students to where we introduced and initiated them into open source and its advantages both for the business and developer. The sessions also
introduced them to two community projects (Odoo the open source ERP project maintained by OCA (Odoo Community association) and Ubuntu Touch the secure and private operating systems for mobiles maintained by the Ubports Foundations.

The CIT panel included

1) Akshay Vaidyan (introduction, coordination & career counseling)

2) Richard Varghese (Opens source and its advantages, the open-source development and community model and starting with your first open source projects)

3) Jay Vora (Odoo Community edition and their success using Odoo)

4) Raoul Kramer (Open source and Ubports Projects for Ubuntu Touch)

5) Alfred Neumayer (Ubuntu touch – a technical summary and how to start UT development)

About AKSC 2022

All Kerala Student Congress is an annual flagship event of IEEE LINK, the vibrant student activities community of IEEE Kerala Section. The Congress sees an annual participation of students from across the length and breadth of the state. Largely aimed to enhance
and update technical knowledge of undergraduate participants from all over the state through training, workshops and competitions.
